White Roofs Catch On as Energy Cost Cutters

Is it time to replace the membrane roof? Nice NYT article about the energy cost benefits of a white roof. Thanks to Eric for the link!

    I'll add that Home Depot/Lowes has aluminum reflective roof paint for ~$50 for a 5 gallon can. It achieves the same result without having to replace the membrane. I paint my roof every other year and it makes a marked difference in cooling my house in the summer.
