Cluster Grant Opportunity

Please comment if you'd like to help and/or have suggestions on possible grant projects.

======================================
Fairfax County will be offering matching grants of up to $5,000 to neighborhood or civic groups and homeowner’s associations. The money will be awarded through the Neighborhood Enhancement Partnership Program (NEPP) for projects that improve a neighborhood’s appearance, health or safety.

Applications will be accepted starting Thursday, September 1, and are due on Monday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. Additional information about groups or projects eligible for funding can be found online at Neighborhood Enhancement Partnership Program.

Fairfax County staff will hold information sessions to explain how to apply:
  • Thursday, September 8, 6 p.m.: South County Center, Room 221C, 8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria
  • Thursday, September 15, 6 p.m.: Falls Church Human Services Building, Suite 305, 6245 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church
In the past, communities have received money through NEPP to repair or expand children’s playgrounds, install community signs, plant community gardens, and build paths, bridges and outdoor pavilions to help connect neighbors and neighborhoods. As one of our region 2 partners, please plan on coming out to the September 15 meeting to learn more about this exciting grant opportunity!

  3. Final thought. The 11501 Maple Ridge Homeowners and the Belfields spent considerable dollars of their own last week to bring the 10x40 foot area next to 11501 MR and Maple Ridge Rd. up to standard. That would have been a good project to have been submitted. That area had been long neglected and finally looks
    acceptable. They deserve recognition for their initiative.
